Booking Your Destination Wedding

How far in advance do you need to book your Destination Wedding? This is an important question with a not-so-clear answer. You've heard the term "Early Bird Gets the Worm". I would say this applies to your Wedding date as well. The Bride that plans ahead is going to get her pick of date, Beach, reception location, and of course the ever so popular Bamboo Canopy seen in so many of our Wedding Pictures. While we can accommodate a very simple wedding, such as our "I Do for Two" package on a moments notice, Weddings that require decor such as a Bamboo Arch, Bamboo Canopy, and Chairs are available in limited quantities and once they are booked for a specific day they are no longer available to other Brides booking on the same day.

If you will have guests attending, you will need to consider booking a block of rooms at one of our hotels along the Beach.  Most of the hotels will give you a final date that all rooms must be booked in order to secure your reservations. Believe it or not, this can be a monumental task to get everyone to reserve their rooms and pay a deposit if necessary.

Out of town guests, will have to make travel arrangements. These must be booked months in advance to get the best rate and to allow for your guests to plan for time off from work, babysitters, someone to watch the dog, etc.

Thinking about having a dinner reception for your guests? This is also something that needs to be booked in advance. We have some fabulous restaurants down on the beach that can accommodate a wedding reception, but it requires some planning. There are choices to be made about budget, meal type, open bar, centerpieces, music, cake, etc.

In addition, Flowers, Cake, Hair/Make-Up Artist, Musicians, and your Photographer are all people and things that must be booked in advance. While it can sound overwhelming, it's really not. With a little pre-planning and our help your Wedding will be a stress free, beautiful day! The good news is that you won't have to hunt down any of the people or vendors needed to make your Wedding a success...that is a complimentary service that comes with all of our packages.

So the question still is...how far in advance do I need to book my Destination Wedding? While there is no hard and fast rule, I would say on average 6-8 months prior to your Wedding date is a good time frame to book with us.
