Every year lots of Brides come to our beautiful Beaches here in Florida to get Married. Many times it's just the Bride and Groom that want to have their feet in the sand with the backdrop of the ocean and sunset. For a Simple Ceremony like this you might not want the added expense of an arch so I have an affordable alternative for you. If you've shopped around (and I know you have) you've seen the ever-famous Heart in the Sand. Some versions are just sand sculpted into a heart while others are silk flower garland shaped into a heart. Personally, I am a softy when it comes to real flowers so when I had a bride request a Heart in the Sand I decided that it should be done with rose petals.
Yes, it's simple. I think it adds a nice touch to a very intimate ceremony between a bride and a groom. It gives you a defined area on the beach that is yours and yours alone.
So what does it cost? The Heart in the Sand will cost your around $100.

Beach Wedding Invitation Etiquette
Of all the rules and guidelines that you have to follow with wedding etiquette, the Invitation can be the most confusing. Your Beach Wedding is supposed to be carefree and relaxed. After all, that's why you decided to get married on the beach...right?
I asked our friend Renae with Beach WedLock Invitations for some advice to help guide you through the process and simplify the etiquette for your Beach Wedding. They have a fabulous collection of invitations that are fun, creative, and perfect for your Florida Beach Wedding! While this post doesn't cover everything, we think it covers the most important points.

Joanne and Dave's Romantic Clearwater Beach Wedding
Joanne and Dave came to us all the way from Illinois to get married on Clearwater Beach. They stayed at the Clearwater Beach Marriott Suites on Sand Key and the staff there was nice enough to bring Joanne over separately on one of their golf carts so she could make an entrance!
This is one of my favorite pictures from the day. We wish Joanne and Dave many happy years!

Sand Key Park Wedding in Clearwater - Kim and Jason
When Kim first called me she had her heart set on getting married on Clearwater Beach. This is no surprise as Clearwater has some of the most beautiful beaches and is probably the most requested Beach from Brides. Typically, when a Bride calls and wants to get married on Clearwater Beach we suggest Sand Key Park. It's a beautiful white sand Beach that is away from the main strip and the large Hotels that line the Beach.
We want to personally congratulate Kim and Jason. We had so much fun working with you...here are a few of my favorite pictures from the Wedding.

Booking Your Destination Wedding
How far in advance do you need to book your Destination Wedding? This is an important question with a not-so-clear answer. You've heard the term "Early Bird Gets the Worm". I would say this applies to your Wedding date as well. The Bride that plans ahead is going to get her pick of date, Beach, reception location, and of course the ever so popular Bamboo Canopy seen in so many of our Wedding Pictures. While we can accommodate a very simple wedding, such as our "I Do for Two" package on a moments notice, Weddings that require decor such as a Bamboo Arch, Bamboo Canopy, and Chairs are available in limited quantities and once they are booked for a specific day they are no longer available to other Brides booking on the same day.
If you will have guests attending, you will need to consider booking a block of rooms at one of our hotels along the Beach. Most of the hotels will give you a final date that all rooms must be booked in order to secure your reservations. Believe it or not, this can be a monumental task to get everyone to reserve their rooms and pay a deposit if necessary.

Beach Wedding Tip
I have a little tidbit for you...perfect for your Florida Beach Wedding in every way! Being a resident of Florida, I know all to well just how warm it can get down on the beach during our Summer months. Part of my job as your Beach Wedding Coordinator is to help with the little details that leave that lasting impression. What better way to save your guests from the heat than to provide them with Bamboo Fans. Not only will they keep your guests cool but they go with our beautiful Bamboo Canopy and can double as your aisle decor. Just add a little bit of coordinating ribbon and a flower and you are all set!
